The District of Columbia Department of Health makes it easy for community partners and businesses to receive free condoms and lubricant packages. To get started, just fill out the Condom Distribution form. Once you submit the form, condoms and lubricant packages will be shipped directly to your organization or business.
The D.C. Department of Health provides LyfeStyles Extra Sensitive (regular size), Extra- Large condoms and lubricant units. Condoms and lubricants must be ordered in quantities of 1,000. The condoms will be shipped to your organization at the beginning of the following month. You can place orders to receive shipments on a monthly, quarterly, or one time basis.If you would like to pick up quantities less than 1,000 for an event, you can schedule a pick up by calling (202) 671-4900.
HIV is a preventable disease, and condoms used correctly can prevent transmission of the virus. Laboratory studies show that condoms are 95 percent effective in reducing the risk of HIV infection. Condoms are also effective in preventing pregnancies and the transmission of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) and Hepatitis.
The DC Condom Distribution Program aims to increase condom availability and education in the District of Columbia. The goal is to reach 3 million free condoms per year. The District is one of only two cities in the country with a large scale public sector condom distribution program.
